[report]🔬✨ This weekend, yCSMS packed up our pocket microscopes and headed to the Veletrh vědy (Science Fair) — and what a fantastic microscopic adventure it was! ![]()

Visitors of all ages stopped by to take a closer look at tiny marvels like a spider’s leg, a wasp’s wing, a pollen grain, or the texture of tree bark. It turns out, even the most ordinary insect wing can look like a piece of abstract art under the lens. To test everyone’s newly gained scientific observation skills, we prepared a fun microscopy quiz. Successful participants earned a diploma and could pick a reward, from a microscopy-themed memory game, to stickers and badges with SEM images we’ve prepared especially for the occasion. Some kids declared they want to be scientists when they grow up. Some adults admitted they might finally understand how pollen looks under an electron microscope.
